Success Secret #3: Master the Internet as a Marketing Tool
There is no doubt about it...the Internet has changed the way people do business. The business of network marketing is no different.
The network marketing industry has seized upon the opportunity to take advantage of this technology.
You, as a marketer, have that same opportunity. But too many network marketers fail to use the Internet properly.
What many do is simply take the replicated websites that are given or sold by their company.
Most just let that site sit out there in cyberspace...and of course, nothing happens.
Maybe they tell their friends, family or other prospects to go to their company produced website and view an online presentation which
usually contains a lot of hype and flash.
Again...very little progress is made.
Some go out and submit their replicated sites to the search engines for pay per click traffic.
Again...very little progress is made by most people.
You see, there's a problem with replicated sites. They're great to use with existing customers who can easily place an order right from
your site, but they're horrible at bringing in new business.
In other words they don't attract attention from your target market and they don't get the people in your target market to take the action you
want them to take while they're at your site.
Let me explain...
Remember the concept of positioning? Well these company produced sites are terrible positioning tools. They weren't designed to
help you position yourself as an expert or authority. They're generally designed in a way that positions the company.
Furthermore, they too frequently miss the whole point of having a web site in the first place.
The number one goal of all of your marketing tools should be to generate leads. That's what your business needs,
right?
You want a never ending flow of people clamoring to learn more about your product and/or opportunity.
You do that by having a web site that focuses on the needs, problems and concerns of your target market.
Your web site should give them some information to get their attention and then offer more information (in exchange for their
name, email address and phone number). All the while, your site should be establishing you as an authority, expert or consultant. You want
your visitor to think of you as the person to go to for more information about their needs.
You Need Leads
The life blood of your business are the leads you have. If you can create a way to keep those leads flowing into your business...you'll
succeed. If you don't...you'll fail. Pretty simple, right?
The Internet is a perfect tool that you can use to keep the life blood flowing.
When I joined the Dream Team in July 2004 I did not know how to use the Internet to grow my network marketing business.
Today, with what I've learned, I generate anywhere from 70-100 of my own leads every week. These are people who are
already interested in my products before I've even spoken to them.
Do you want to learn how to do that? I know you do or you wouldn't be reading this.
Why don't you make a decision right now to learn how to use the Internet as a marketing
tool. The Dream Team offers a class which will teach you how to harness the power of the Internet. This class is taught once a
week. It's live and interactive like everything else they do.
If you want more information about this class give me a call. I'll be happy to explain it all to you.
Anyway, that's all for today. In the next installment you'll learn about an incredibly important skill that goes hand in hand with the
Internet.
Do you want to know what it is?
Stay tuned. I'll tell you soon.
To YOUR success.
