Mistake #3: Using 3-Way Calling
I know I'm going to catch a lot of heat for this one. Maybe you've done some 3-way calling in the past and it
worked.
However, the fact is that most of the time it doesn't work and it's
counter productive to building YOUR business.
Here me out...
Network marketing is a business...right? We both know that it is a legitimate business where companies use a sales force (you and
me) to market their products directly to consumers.
Tell me...what other legitimate business uses 3-way calling?
When you go to a car dealership to buy a car does your salesman speak with you directly, answer your questions, take you out for
a test drive, and attempt to close the transaction himself? Yes, of course. If instead he put you on the phone for a 3-way call with
another salesperson what would you think of him? You can't even imagine that scenario...right?
That's because doing a 3-way call would hurt his chances of making the sale. It would diminish your opinion of him as an
expert or authority on what he's marketing.
Regardless of the negative effects of doing a 3-way call, network marketers are taught to use this technique the moment they
join a company. And, that's why so many of them fail to grow a thriving business.
Here's what you need to do....
Become an expert in your product:
- know what it is...
- know what it does...
- know the features...
- know the benefits...
Become an expert in your business:
- Know your company...
- know your policies and procedures...(read them)
- know your compensation plan...
Become an expert in teaching others how to become self sufficient in their businesses as well. This will all take some work and
effort. Are you willing?
