Recruit One a Month Minimum!

The following is based on an email I received from a well known network marketing guru

The email read as follows...

"Take a look at the incredible mathmatics behind the leveraged income potential of MLM - network marketing.

Have you ever stopped and done the math on the kind of incredible leveraged income you can build with your current network marketing - MLM business even if you and everyone you bring into business only recruits or sponsors just ONE new distributor/associate per month?

The numbers are amazing!  Take a look...

After 12 months if you and everyone you recruit and everyone they recruit all just focus on ONE A MONTH, you'd have 4,095 people in your downline after just 1 year!"

If This is so Easy Why Do Most People Fail at Network Marketing?

There are several reasons why up to 98% of people in network marketing fail to make the above math a reality.  If you've been reading this newsletter since the beginning you will remember Mistake # 5: Believing that all you need to do to get filthy rich in network marketing is find 3 people who get 3 people who get 3 people and so on, and so on, and so on...

The truth is that the "3, who get 3, who get 3..." talk, as well as the table above, are merely representations of what's possible.  The graphs and charts, by themselves, will not change a thing for you and your business until you learn HOW to do "it".

I put "it" in quotes because the "it" is the marketing knowledge and skill needed to make the above your reality.

What is Network Marketing Reality?

The reality in network marketing, as it is in life, is that nothing will go as smoothly as planned or as advertised.  So when someone presents a neat little graph or table like the one above, you need to understand, the knowledge, skill and effort that it will take to make those goals a reality.

What I'm telling you is that to sign up even one person a month you may need to present your product/opportunity to 20 prospects.  Of course, this depends on how well you've targeted your prospects, your propsecting ability, the quality of your presentation and closing skills.

When you actually figure into the equation a reasonable rate of attrition and the fact that some people may never recruit anybody or may never acquire even one customer...you will quickly realize that in order to find one "business builder" you may need to enroll a minimum of 10 people.

And, to enroll 10 people you may need to speak with hundreds of prospects.

So Where Does All This Leave You and Your Goal to Have 4,095 People (or whatever number) in Your Downline at the End of a Year?

Where you are now is where we all begin...at the beginning.

Whether you're brand new to network marketing or you've been down the trail of tears, you must acquire marketing knowledge and skills if you're to stand a chance of making the above chart a reality.

You're going to need to learn...

1. How to prospect
2. How to give or invite someone to a good presentation
3. How to handle basic objections to close transactions efficiently

In order to do the things listed above you'll need to get good at...

1. Using the telephone
2. Using your computer, website and Internet as marketing tools
3. Writing ad copy, web pages, reports, etc...that get attention and cause your audience to take the action you want them to take.

It is possible to acquire the knowledge and skills needed to get good at the marketing skills and tools listed above on your own.  Possible...but unlikely.

It's more likely that you're going to need help.  You're going to need a mentor...someone who has been there, done that, and mastered it.
